Premier League: Liverpool defeat Spurs to be back on the top

Liverpool defeats Tottenham today with two goals to one, to be back on the top of the table. The Reds is currently at the top of the table with 79 points from 32 games, with one more games than Manchester City which is trailing by 2 points.
Liverpool which is in control of the game with 60 percent in possession to just 40 percent by the Spurs, dominate the game with many chances right from the start. However, it was in the 16 minutes when Andrew Robertson get the ball from the left side, and with no one near him, he quickly crosses the ball which perfectly lands on Firmino who head the ball perfectly into the goal past Lloris.

 

 

However, in the second half of the game, Spurs dominate the game with more possession and more shot on goals. Son Heung Min replace Davison Sanchez in the 69 minutes, and then four minutes later Lucas Moura equalizes for Spurs with an assist from the Christian Eriksen.

However, just before the end of the game, an own goals from Toby Alderweireld seal the deal for Liverpool with three points from the game.
Andrew Robertson robust performance this season make him the first Liverpool defender player to assist more than 9 goals in a single season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will begin their Champions League Quater-Final match against Porto in Anfield on the 10th of April.
